Summit APEC Russia 2012
Summit APEC Russia 2012 is the twenty fourth annual meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Leaders that will take place in Vladivostok on September 2-9, 2012. It is the first APEC Summit that will be held in the Russian Federation.
Summit's main events will take place on the Russky Island, at the Far Eastern Federal University campus, which was built in anticipation of the region's leaders' meeting.
The priorities of the APEC-2012 Summit are trade and investment liberalization, regional economic integration, enhancing food security, establishing reliable transport and logistics chains, intensive cooperation to foster innovative growth.
The APEC CEO Summit (September 7-8) will take place within the Summit week. It's the annual business forum for the Asia-Pacific region business elite where CEOs exchange views and find solutions in an open multiparty dialog.
On September 8-9, APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting will be held in Vladivostok. It is supposed to result in adoption of the declaration, reflecting the outcome of the APEC forum in 2012, and the outline of the prospects for further development of the region.
