Emir Kusturica and The No Smoking Orchestra

On April 9, the titled Serbian filmmaker and talented musician Emir Kusturica and his folk-rock band The No Smoking Orchestra will perform on the Fesco Hall stage.

The team was formed back in 1978, but it was not until the musicians issued a soundtrack to the Emir Kusturica’s well-known film ‘Black Cat, White Cat’ that they became world-famous. At the same time the filmmaker started to work with The No Smoking Orchestra on continuing basis.

The band uses traditional Gipsy motifs in its music and dilutes them with accordion, violin, drums, bass and lead guitar. Favorite soundtracks to Kusturica’s movies will sound at the concert in Vladivostok.
